Prior to surgery, we perform pre-anesthetic bloodwork to evaluate your pet’s overall health and ensure they are a good candidate for anesthesia. During the procedure, your pet is placed on intravenous (IV) fluids to help maintain blood pressure and provide immediate access in case of emergency.
Throughout the entire process, a dedicated surgery technician closely monitors your pet’s vital signs—including heart rate and rhythm, breathing rate, blood pressure, carbon dioxide levels, and oxygen levels—to ensure their safety before, during, and after surgery.

- Tumor and mass removal
- Wound and laceration repair
- Abdominal surgeries

- No food after midnight the night before surgery (water is ok until the morning of the surgery)
- Only giving medications the morning of surgery if instructed with the smallest amount of food possible
- Informing us of any medications, supplements, vitamins, or over-the-counter products your pet is receiving and when they were last given
