We are here to support you through all the stages of your animal's life, even the tough ones. End of life care for your pet brings about both difficult and emotional decisions for a pet owner. We are here to help you with process from making the decision, helping them pass peacefully, and arranging aftercare for your beloved pet.
Making the decision:
The thought of losing a beloved pet can be very difficult. It is never easy to come to the decision to euthanize your pet. But you don't have to do it alone. Our staff is always available for you to talk to and help you decide what is best for your pet. A general rule of thumb is when the bad days outnumber the good days. The link below is a quality of life questionnaire to help you access how your pet is doing right now.

Euthanasia in the veterinary hospital or at home:
Once we have come to the decision of knowing it is time to help our pet pass peacefully you might want to consider if having the service performed at home or at the veterinary clinic would be better for your beloved pet. There a pros and cons to both choices. We do not perform at home euthanasia's, but we can provide information on several passionate and caring companies who dedicate themself to performing it in your own home.

Peaceful passing at our facility:
We strive to provide compassion and support to help you and your pet have a peaceful passing. When you arrive to our facility we will have a comfortable and quiet room with a soft bed ready for you and your pet. If the weather allows it you may request for us to sit under the shade of a tree in our quiet backyard. We will have you sign a consent form before we proceed and confirm your aftercare requests.
We offer ink nose and paw prints to help remember your pet by. There is also the option for us to save some fur in a small glass jar as well. We understand that sometimes these momentos help you remember them once they have passed. We do not charge for these services and you may request more than for other members of your family.
Aftercare:
While it may be hard to think about we do need to consider what aftercare would be best for you, your family, and your pet. If you have the ability to, you may bury your beloved pet at home. We do offer a soft burial bag to help transport your pet back home or we can help you arrange your pet in a coffin that you provide.
We do partner with a cremation company called Abbey Glen ( formerly known as Pet Memorial). They are a caring team that provides a variety of cremation options, urns, and memorial products that best fit your needs. They offer individual cremation or communal cremation. Individual cremation is when your pet is cremated by themselves and you receive the ashes back in an urn of your choice. Communal cremation is when your pet is cremated and you do not receive the ashes back. Abbey Glen transports the ashes and buries them at their private cemetary.
