New cLIENTS |
Our top priority at Happy Tails Animal Hospital is the health and wellness of our patients- it’s the foundation of everything we do. While that focus has always been on providing the best care possible to both current and new patients, the recent spread of COVID-19 has surprisingly brought an influx of patients into the clinic. Since we have had more clients joining our hospital, we have had to implement some changes.
We are now asking that clients pre-pay over the phone for their first exam with us. The deposit will be used to prepay for the first exam. If a client no call/ no shows for an appointment, reschedules in less than 24 hours, or shows up more than 10 minutes late for their appointment, the deposit will be lost and a new deposit will need to be made in order to reschedule an exam with us. We understand that this may seem like an inconvenience to some, but this helps ensure that clients arrive for their scheduled appointments.

Prior to your first visit
Please call to speak with one of our client care specialists to schedule your first appointment. We will need to gather some information about you and your pet so we can get you established in our system. We will also request to receive any prior records for your pet prior to their exam. This is to allow our staff to review them prior to your arrival so we can spend more time with you and your pet during your scheduled visit. If you are coming in with a new puppy or kitten you can take a picture of any exam and vaccines that were performed and e-mail them to us. If your pet has received medical care or vaccines at any other facility let our staff know where and we will call them to get the records we need.
We will then have you place the deposit for your appointment over the phone.
If you have the ability to print at home you can print off our New Client Information Form bellow, fill it out, and bring it to your first appointment. Otherwise we will have you fill one out when you come in.

What to expect
When you get here please come in and check in with the client care specialists. They will confirm your pet and information. This is something to expect at every visit. We always want to ensure our information is up to date and accurate so we ask every time. They will help to obtain a weight on your pet if they are big enough to be weighed on the floor scale. Our feline friends and small dogs or puppies will be weighed in the room on a special small animal scale that is more accurate for our smaller patients. After our client care specialist has you in a room one of our compassionate Veterinary Technicians or Veterinary Assistants will be in to talk to you about your pet and obtain a thorough history. Please understand that this is a very important part of your visit and that giving accurate and thorough information helps us to care for your pet the best we can. The technician or assistant will then relay everything to your pets doctor who will return with them to perform the exam, vaccinations, and answer any questions you may have. We allow plenty of time for you to ask any questions you may have. Once everything has been done and all of your questions are answered our technician or assistant will check you out in the room. We find this helps as your hands can be free while processing a payment and helps to reduce the stress of your pet having to sit or stand in our lobby with other pets coming and going. Payment is expected in full at the time of services being performed. While checking out we can also schedule any follow up visits that may have been recommended by the veterinarian.
After your visit
After your pet has been here we will follow up with an e-mail thanking you for your visit. If you have any questions or concerns you are welcome to reply to it and we will answer them as quickly as we can. If your pet was seen for a medical concern one of our client care specialist will follow up in a day or two to check on your pet and see how they are doing.
